Adalgiza Fornaro is a lecturer at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences, University of São Paulo. She has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Londrina, Brazil (1987), master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of São Paulo, IQ / USP (1991) and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of São Paulo, IQ / USP (1996). Her postdoctoral research looked at Air Pollution and Meteorology.
She is the co-coordinator of the “Laboratory for Analysis of Atmospheric Process” (LAPAt) along with Dra. Maria de Fátima Andrade and Dr. Fabio T. Gonçalves. Her research field is chemistry with an emphasis on atmospheric chemistry, mainly in the following areas: air pollution, acid rain, chemical composition of rainwater and particulate matter, atmospheric oxidants (ozone and hydrogen peroxide), carboxylic acids, removal processes of atmospheric pollutants.
Contribution to the ASTRID project: numerical modeling of air pollution data.
