Dr. Anne Dorothée Slovic

Biography

Dr. Anne Dorothée Slovic is a post-doctorate researcher at the ASTRID project and at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil. She holds a Master in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University (US) and a PhD in Public Health from the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo.

Her research interests include air pollution, mobility and social justice. In particular, she is interested in interactions between research and public policy and how they can contribute to reducing environmental health degradation and improve quality of life. Past studies and projects include sustainable development efforts focused on the growth of small- and mid-sized industries within the nonprofit and private sectors as well as income generating ventures, targeting social, community and environmental development in Brazil, the US, and France.

Contribution to the ASTRID project: air traffic pollution, health effects, perception, surveys and comparative analysis.
